From I-80 EAST or West: Take Hwy 395 South to the Plumb/Villanova Exit. At the end of the off ramp cross over Villanova and go to the next light which is Plumb Lane. Turn right. Go approx 1.5 miles to South Virginia Street, turn right, go thru 2 stop lights and look for Kragen's Auto Parts on the left at the next light (this will be in a strip shopping plaza), turn into the parking lot by Kragen's and proceed to the building at the rear of the parking lot - Sports West - park anywhere. You can also turn left on Mt Rose Street (at the light) and take the next driveway into the rear of the shopping plaza. From South Lake Tahoe Area/US50: Take US50 toward Carson City. When you hit US395 turn left (northbound), you'll be on the south end of Carson City. Follow the instructions for Carson City below. From Carson City: Take US50 north toward Reno. Take the Plumb Ave exit and turn left onto Plumb at the end of the off-ramp. Go approx 1.5 miles to South Virginia Street, turn right, go thru 2 stop lights, looking left you'll see a strip shopping plaza, turn Left into the parking lot and proceed to the building at the rear of the parking lot - Sports West - park anywhere. You can also turn left on Mt Rose Street (at the light) and take the next driveway into the rear of the shopping plaza.
The Next Generation Swing Dance Club Allegro Ballroom, 5855 Christie Avenue, Emeryville, CA, 510-655-2888 When: First Saturday of each month Southbound Hwy I80 to Emeryville. Take the Powell Street/Emeryville exit. Turn left at the end of the exit ramp onto Frontage Road (not marked). Turn left onto Powell Street at the light and proceed under the freeway overpass. Take a left onto Christie Avenue (Christie is the first major street after the freeway on-ramps, stay to your extreme left lane as you approach Christie). Make a left into the parking lot after the gas station (less than 1/2 block and before the Emery Bay Cafe). http://www.capitalswingdancers.org Fair Oaks Community Clubhouse, 7997 California Ave., Fair Oaks, CA When: Third Saturday of each month (except Mar (25th) and Sept. (23rd), 2006) Take I-80, US Hwy 50, I-5, or US Hwy 99 to Sacramento. I-80 Westbound (from Reno Area direction): Take the Douglas Blvd exit (Exit 103) toward Sunrise Ave (middle lane). Turn left onto Douglas Blvd, go over the overpass, and then turn right at Sunrise Avenue. Sunrise Avenue turns into Sunrise Blvd. Go south on Sunrise Blvd. about 7+ miles and turn left at the traffic signal at Winding Way and then turn right at the first block (the block before the stop sign) to get onto Fair Oaks Blvd. Turn left onto California Avenue. The Community Clubhouse will be on your left. I-80 Eastbound (from West of Sacramento or SF Bay Area direction): When approaching West Sacramento follow the signs toward South Lake Tahoe and Hwy 50. Follow Hwy 50 through Sacramento and Rancho Cordova to the Sunrise Blvd. exit. See directions for Hwy 50 Eastbound (below). Hwy 50 Eastbound (from the SF Bay area direction): Take the Sunrise Blvd exit. Turn left at the light at the end of the exit ramp on to Sunrise Blvd. towards Fair Oaks. Continue on Sunrise Blvd. approximately 2 miles. Turn right onto Fair Oaks Blvd and then turn left at the next block to remain on Fair Oaks Blvd. Turn right onto California Avenue. Go about a block and the Community Clubhouse will be on your left. Hwy 50 Westbound (from Tahoe area direction): Take the Sunrise Blvd. exit #18. Turn right at the light at the end of the exit ramp onto Sunrise Blvd. towards Fair Oaks. Continue on Sunrise Blvd. approximately 2 miles. Turn right onto Fair Oaks Blvd and then turn left at the next block to remain on Fair Oaks Blvd. Turn right onto California Avenue. Go about a block and the Community Clubhouse will be on your left. I-5 and Hwy 99: Follow signs to Sacramento and Hwy 50 toward South Lake Tahoe. Take Hwy 50 Eastbound through Sacramento and Rancho Cordova. See directions for Hwy 50 Eastbound above. http://www.santacruzswingclub.com Mid-County Center, 829 Bay Ave, Capitola, CA When: Fourth Saturday of each month From San Jose, take Hwy 85 South to Hwy 17 South. Take Hwy 17 and follow the signs to Santa Cruz & Capitola. Hwy 17 runs into Hwy 1 South, take Hwy 1 South. Take the Bay/Porter Street exit from Hwy 1 go west on Bay. Turn right just before the Woodworm Party Store and Nob Hill Foods, then drive all the way in past the fence until you see the Center. Map to Santa Cruz Club
