Dancing in La Honda
Northern CA

For anyone on the "Coastside"
of the peninsula, there is a little tavern with great
live music they should know about. It's Apple Jack's in
La Honda, a historical building with an ambience all
it's own. Live bands every Friday and Saturday night;
mostly old rock and roll, or rhythm and blues. Plenty
of swing tunes. Bands play from 9:30 - 1:30, no cover,
and very low key; blue jeans are the rule, absolutely no
ties. Directions are easy, get onto Highway 84, west of
280, and head toward the coast. (Or from highway 1,
take 84 inland 8 miles). Any questions, local contact
