Novice (Level I/II) Choreography


Choreography for the Novice division classes is as follows:

1.   The "Basic" starter step from "Closed" position.  This is the move that usually starts the dance (six count move)

2.  Throw-out.  This moves sends the follower down the slot and into "Open" position. (6 count move)

3.  Underarm Turn.  We usually do two of these. (6 count Move)

4.  Left-side Pass, aka "Side Pass" We usually do two of these. (6 count move)

5.  Sugar Push,  sometimes called the "Push Break".  We usually do two of these.  (6 count move)

6.  Lock Whip,  sometimes called the "Basket Whip"  (8 count move)

7.  Basic Whip,  usually referred to as the "Whip"  (8 count move)

8.  Inside Whip  (8 count move)

9.  Outside Whip (8 count move)

10.  Return to Basic (return to move number 1, closed position)  (6 count move)

11.  Turning Basic  (6 count move)

12.  Tuck Out  (aka The "Tuck")  (6 count move)
