We are less than NINE days away from workshops with Sam & Denise Miller.  Not only are Sam and Denise creative and stylish dancers in their own right, but they are also experienced and effective teachers in many forms of dance.  Always welcoming questions, Sam & Denise makes sure that their students enjoy the entire aspect of the dance. The first class on Saturday, FUN-damentals, is for all levels of dancers and the second class on Saturday in CW 2-Step is for those who know basics well and want to take their 2-Step to the next level.  All other classes offered are for intermediate and/or intermediate and beyond dancers.  Please reply to this e-mail if you have any questions regarding your ability/level to take any of the classes.

VIDEO NOTEBOOKS:  Do you find it hard to remember all those patterns you learned?  As in the past, the AS&CDC goes to the extra effort of video taping a summary of the workshops and offering it to those taking the workshops at a nominal fee.  This is an invaluable tool to help members retain all they've learned and insure that their money was well invested!

 

 

 

Class Schedule

SATURDAY, MAY 24 WORKSHOPS

Students must know basic steps for classes #1&2 and beyond basics in other classes.

Rotation of partners in all classes.  Even though no partners are needed to take the classes, singles are encouraged to register soon as we will try our best to balance gender in all classes.  If there is a gender inbalance, single members with the earliest postmarked registration will be registered first.

 

11:00am-12:00pm (1) FUN-damentals (applicable to all dances) All Levels

12:15pm-1:15pm   (2) CW 2-Step - Jump Your 2-Step to the Next Level - Beyond Basics  (Beg/Int)

 

  1:15pm-2:30pm  -  1.15 hr Lunch Break/Practice (bring your own lunch - light snacks provided)

 

  2:30pm-3:30pm   (3) CW 2-Step -  "WOW Social Patterns!"  Intermediate & Beyond

  3:45pm-4:45pm   (4) Waltz - "Elegance on the Floor" - Intermediate

 

 

Saturday Night "Variety Dance", May 24th

7pm-10:30pm, ASDC, 4915 Hawkins NE - Huge Dance Floor 

Dance Performance by Sam & Denise (pay at door $5; Guests $7)

Includes refreshments and LOTS of dance partners -

parties average ~170 dancers!

 

 

SUNDAY, MAY 25 WORKSHOPS

  2:45pm-3:45pm   (7) Night Club - Sexy and Smooth - Intermediate & Beyond

 

  4:00pm-5:00pm   (8) West Coast Swing - Sam & Denise's HOT Play Patterns - Intermediate & Beyond

 

 

WORKSHOP FEES: 

Early Bird prices end Thursday, May 22; $5 late fee after May 22
